Beauty Lies in the Beholder
If you have a desire to do something that fills your heart with joy, go and create what you desire!

I have a confession to make. I’m into clouds.
I think I’m so into clouds because I love to dream and when life as a teenager gets heavy, I look to the clouds and daydream about everything. I get to see the beauty – it lies in the eye of the beholder. And the best way to really generate a massive amount of creativity and happiness is to watch the clouds actually transform and move through the skies.
“I’m a dreamer. I have to dream and reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I grab a handful of clouds.” ~Mike Tyson
That’s why BLITEB (beauty lies in the eye of the beholder) is such a powerful statement, one that makes each person unique and able to dream infinitely. Think about how clouds allows anyone to look up and dream – watching the fluffy white float without a care across the skies.
What does eye of the beholder mean?
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” ~Margaret Wolfe
Where did the saying come from?
“You know, if that person wants to paint or write because that’s what inspires them, then by all means do it. Who are any of us to say what is beautiful or not, truly, if you think about it.” ~Susan R. Kiley
Clouds have the power to inspire
It’s amazing what clouds can appear to be high in the sky. Really, if you take a look you can see incredible once in a lifetime images.
And when you blink, the clouds have changed yet again into another beautiful image seen only through your eyes. What is it you see in the clouds in the image by Riccardo Mion, Unsplash below?
Clouds as a relaxation tool
- Passing Clouds movement through the art of Tai Chi Chih. You move slowly and gently like the clouds floating through the sky.
- Cloud Animals. See how many different animals you can see as you look high into the sky at the different colors and shapes of the clouds.
- Cloud Thoughts. Lay on your back and just watch the clouds pass by. I love losing myself to the different clouds.
“I do not believe today everything I believed yesterday; I wonder if I will believe tomorrow everything I believe today.” ~Isaac Goldberg
Sum it all up: Beauty is truly subjective and is how a person views a person, object or clouds. No two people may ever agree what is ‘beauty’ – and that’s probably a good thing. We can all have our opinions.
Stuck seeing the beauty? Stop wherever you are and look upward to the clouds. Have fun and allow yourself to see the beauty!
